Do You Know This Player?

My name is Pride, I am a cheater.

I cheat you of your God-given destiny…

because you demand your own way.

I cheat you of contentment…

because you “deserve better than this.”

I cheat you of knowledge…because you already know it all.

I cheat you of healing…because you’re too full of me to forgive.

I cheat you of holiness…

because you refuse to admit when you’re wrong.

I cheat you of vision…

because you’d rather look in the mirror than out a window.

I cheat you of genuine friendship…

because nobody’s going to know the real you.

I cheat you of love…

because real romance demands sacrifice.

I cheat you of greatness in heaven…

because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.

I cheat you of God’s glory…

because I convince you to seek your own.

My name is Pride.  I am a cheater.

You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you.  Untrue.

I’m looking to make a fool of you.

God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry…

If you stick with me,

You’ll never know.

  1. I know you are a player but still I do not know you.
It is you that makes me tell so.
    Because you are a player.
    I shall once shun you.
You shall know then, that I have become the player.
Only because I allowed you, you think you are champion.
    No ways My Dear.
You yourself say you are a cheater.
Only because of that maybe I allowed you, thinking you were honest.
    So let us part.
I am off now to the Truth!
    Fond Regards Tammi!

    • Thank you, Bethany……I beginning to feel led to take my blog in a different direction and your words are a confirmation to me that I need to quit saying I’m going to, and get it done! God bless you!

      • God bless you . Your words make a difference. I did reblog your post even though I only have 500 followers. It will make a difference to many. When I started my blog, I thought, Okay, just one person, if my story helps just one person not feel alone it will be worth it. I can’t wait to see where your blog leads you!
